This half-term, Year 5 continued learning about Forces in Science. They carried out a scientific investigation about 'water resistance' to find out 'whether a streamline-shaped object affects the speed at which it moves through water'.

In Design and Technology, Year 5 explored Mechanical Systems, learning about levers and sliders and making their own individual pop-up books. 

At the end of the half-term, both Year 5 classes presented their history work on Ancient Islamic Civilisation at the subject showcase. It was a huge success!
